The short answer

Photos can show a kitchen sink or a finished bathroom. They cannot tell you whether the systems behind the walls match the documentation needed for your purchase and destination. Electrical and plumbing questions deserve attention before you approve the home.

Ask for the system specifications

Request the electrical service requirements, appliance loads, panel information, and connection details. Ask which construction standard applies to the home and what inspection or certification records are available. Have a qualified electrician review the site connection requirements rather than assuming an existing outlet will be enough.

For plumbing, clarify the water connection, pressure requirements, drain connection, water-heater specification, and any winter protection needed. Explain whether the site has public utilities, a well, or an approved wastewater system. The home and the site must be planned together.

Evaluate the product you are actually buying

An imported structure, a domestic shell, and a finished park model should each be assessed using their own specifications. Country of origin alone does not establish whether a system is suitable. Ask for documentation rather than assuming every product requires the same replacement work.

If changes are needed, obtain a written scope from qualified trades and ask how the changes affect inspection, certification, and warranty obligations. Include those costs in your comparison before committing.

Know where responsibility changes hands

Identify which systems are completed at the factory and which connections are performed at the destination. Ask who tests them, who arranges any required inspection, and whom you contact if a problem appears after hookup.
