The short answer

Look for a written manufacturer's warranty that clearly explains covered defects, coverage periods, exclusions, and how repairs are authorized and completed. Also ask about separate appliance and equipment warranties. The length of a warranty matters, but understanding the actual coverage and service process is essential before buying.

Read the Coverage Before You Commit

Request the full warranty for your selected home before signing the purchase agreement. Ask who issues it, when coverage begins, which components it covers, and what remedy is available for a covered problem. Do not assume the phrase full warranty or a long coverage period means every expense is included.

Compare the written terms alongside the final specifications and purchase agreement. If a sales conversation includes a service promise that matters to you, ask for it in writing. A general brochure description cannot answer every question about a particular claim.

Separate the Home Warranty From Equipment Coverage

A manufacturer may provide coverage for the home while appliances, heating and cooling equipment, or other components have separate warranties from their suppliers. Ask which documents apply to each item and whether registration is needed.

Find out whom to contact first when a component fails. Ask whether the home manufacturer coordinates the concern or whether you work directly with the equipment provider. Keep model and serial numbers, manuals, receipts, and warranty documents in one accessible place.

Ask How Service Works at Your Location

For a remotely purchased home, the repair process deserves careful attention. Ask who diagnoses a reported problem, who authorizes work, and whether an approved local technician can perform a covered repair. Clarify any process to follow before paying a contractor yourself.

Ask how parts, labor, service-call charges, travel, and transportation expenses are treated. Do not assume these costs are included or that the home must be transported back to the factory. Request the actual procedure applicable to your purchase.

Understand Exclusions and Maintenance Responsibilities

Read how the warranty treats normal wear, maintenance, moisture concerns, modifications, transportation damage, and damage related to site work or setup. Ask which responsibilities belong to separate contractors or insurers and how concerns should be documented at delivery.

These are questions to verify, rather than a statement that every policy excludes the same items. Follow the operating and maintenance instructions, keep dated records, and report concerns promptly through the stated claims process. A warranty and an insurance policy serve different purposes.

What Snake River Tiny Homes Includes

Snake River Tiny Homes park model homes include a one-year manufacturer's warranty, subject to its written terms. Ask our team for the warranty applicable to your selected home so you can review its start date, scope, exclusions, and claim procedures before purchasing.

NOAH+ certification is also standard, but certification and warranty coverage answer different questions. See our certification information and build-quality checklist as you compare homes.

Keep a Simple Warranty File

Save your purchase agreement, final specifications, warranty documents, delivery photographs, and any claim correspondence. Include the dates concerns were reported and the responses received. Organized records make it easier to explain a problem and follow the agreed process.

The FTC's warranty guide explains useful questions about coverage, costs, and records. Use the manufacturer's actual written terms when evaluating your home; coverage and available remedies depend on the product, agreement, and applicable law.
