Who unloads my tiny home when it is delivered?

The short answer
Delivery can mean different things in a tiny home purchase. A freight carrier may bring a packaged kit to a curbside location, while a transporter bringing a completed home on a chassis may use a different process. Before you pay for transportation, ask what actually happens when the vehicle arrives.
Define the handoff
Have the delivery provider describe the sequence in writing. Where will the truck stop? Who unloads the structure, if unloading is required? Who moves it to the prepared location? Does the agreement include final positioning, or will another crew handle that work?
Do not select a crane or forklift based on a generic online recommendation. The provider needs the actual shipping weight, dimensions, lifting instructions, and site conditions. Equipment selection and lifting arrangements should be handled by qualified professionals familiar with the particular load.
Show the route into the property
Send photographs of the driveway entrance, turns, slopes, gates, overhead obstructions, and proposed placement area. Include measurements the transporter requests. A site that is easy to reach in a passenger vehicle may need additional planning for a long or wide load.
Discuss the surface condition and weather contingency as well. Ask what happens if rain softens the ground, a gate is too narrow, or an unexpected obstruction prevents access. Clarify who pays for standby time, extra equipment, or a rescheduled attempt.
Separate delivery from installation
Positioning the home does not necessarily include leveling, anchoring, steps, utility hookups, or inspection. Assign each task to a named provider and confirm when it will happen.
For a Snake River Tiny Homes purchase, bring your destination and site photographs into the planning conversation early. We can discuss the delivery questions that need to be resolved before the home travels. Confidence on delivery day comes from a shared plan, with responsibilities established before anyone arrives.
