The short answer

Buying a tiny home from a dealer gives you a dedicated point of contact to help with the purchase process, from comparing options to coordinating delivery and navigating warranty questions. Snake River Tiny Homes is a dealer, rather than a manufacturer. Our manufacturer builds the home, while we help you work through financing, insurance, delivery and support after the sale.

What is the difference between a dealer and a manufacturer?

A tiny home manufacturer constructs the home and provides its manufacturer’s warranty. Snake River Tiny Homes is a family-owned tiny home dealership in Rigby, Idaho. We help you choose your home and coordinate the people, information and decisions involved in purchasing it.

The roles complement each other: the manufacturer brings construction expertise, and we provide personal guidance through the buying process and a familiar point of contact afterward.

How do we help you bring your home home?

  1. Choose the home and features that fit youWe help you compare models, layouts, standard features and upgrades. Our published fully equipped home prices and Build and Price tool help you understand your choices before moving forward.
  2. Work through financingWe work with you and your lender to provide home and purchase information needed for your financing. The lender determines eligibility, loan terms and approval.
  3. Help you obtain insuranceWe help you obtain the home details and purchase documentation your insurer requests. Your insurer determines available coverage, policy terms and premiums.
  4. Coordinate deliveryWe help coordinate delivery within the continental United States and communication about timing and destination. Delivery and site setup are separate costs; local approvals, site readiness and utility arrangements need to be addressed for your property.
  5. Assist after the saleIf a manufacturer warranty question arises, you can work with us to communicate the issue, share documentation and follow up with the manufacturer. Warranty coverage remains subject to the manufacturer’s written terms.

Why not buy directly from the manufacturer?

The manufacturer’s role is to build your home. Our role is to help you navigate everything that goes into buying it and bringing it home. That includes understanding your options, working with your lender, helping you obtain insurance, coordinating delivery and assisting with manufacturer warranty questions after the sale.

When you buy through Snake River Tiny Homes, you have a dedicated point of contact who knows your purchase and can help keep the process moving. Our ongoing relationship with the manufacturer also gives us an established channel to communicate questions, address concerns and advocate for our customers.

What does customer advocacy look like?

On one occasion, our manufacturer initially considered a customer’s repair concern outside its responsibility. After we worked with the manufacturer, it agreed to take care of the issue, citing its relationship with our dealership and the fact that it was our customer.

That experience illustrates the value of having someone help present your concern and pursue a resolution. It does not expand the written warranty or guarantee the outcome of another claim.

Is buying from a tiny home dealer unusual?

Buying through a dealer is a familiar arrangement for automobiles and RVs: one business manufactures the product, while another helps customers select, purchase and receive support for it. A tiny home dealer can fill a similar role.

For your tiny home purchase, understand who builds the home, what is included in the price, who coordinates delivery and whom you contact afterward. We make those roles clear so you know what to expect.
