The short answer
Safe entry steps and landings may be needed before occupancy, while a larger deck can often be added later. Your home comes fully equipped with its standard living essentials. Delivery, permits, utility connections, site preparation and installation are separate. Required safe supports, anchoring, access and approvals must be completed when applicable; optional exterior improvements can often wait.
What should I know?
Entry height varies after placement and leveling. A local builder can size code-compliant stairs, landings, rails and guards to the final height. A side deck may extend outdoor living space where setbacks and permits allow. Coordinate any sliding patio door with the manufacturer before the home is built; decks are usually measured and built locally after placement.
