The short answer

Skirting can improve appearance and reduce exposure beneath the home. Whether it is required, and when, depends on local rules and climate. Site requirements vary; ask local officials and qualified installers before delivery.

Why is skirting installed locally?

The finished gap to the ground varies with blocks, slope and leveling. Our manufacturer does not include skirting because it must be measured after placement and installed by a local contractor.

What about cold climates and access?

A local installer may recommend 2-inch rigid foam board behind skirting, with appropriate moisture and ventilation planning. Include a service access door. Skirting alone does not guarantee freeze protection.

Start with your fully equipped home

Your home comes fully equipped with its standard living essentials. Delivery, permits, utility connections, site preparation and installation are separate. Required safe supports, anchoring, access and approvals must be completed when applicable; optional exterior improvements can often wait. See Delivery and Setup and Fully Equipped Pricing.
