The short answer

Approved blocking or piers support and level the home; anchoring is a separate system that may be required to resist wind and movement. Your home comes fully equipped with its standard living essentials. Delivery, permits, utility connections, site preparation and installation are separate. Required safe supports, anchoring, access and approvals must be completed when applicable; optional exterior improvements can often wait.

What should I know?

Supports transfer weight at approved locations. Tie-downs and rated anchors resist movement when required. See our hurricane straps article. Some installations permit removal and storage beneath skirting, but first obtain Dakota Cabins' model-specific written instructions and local approval. Removal may affect relocation and legal classification.
